Personal Franchise Workshop - FREE
Network Marketing, or taking a Personal Franchise, is a tried and tested method to start a business, to provide a secondary or even mainstream income alongside your existing job or business. But how profitable is it? What are the pitfalls? And why are those who are doing it so enthusiastic about it?
Millipod member Shiel Campbell is an experienced entrepreneur and now works with Utility Warehouse. Griselda Mussett (owner of Millipod) also works with Juice Plus+.
We can share our experience, without any obligation, so you can see the bigger picture. Lots of discussion and debate, taking a look at the typical Personal Franchise business model. How much can you earn? How long does it take? How to choose the right company?
If this time and place does not suit you, please contact us anyway - we can run the workshop again if you can suggest or provide a free venue with parking space.
Please pass this link on to everyone you know... it's a life-changing opportunity, especially in a time of recession.
We'll pop into the Phoenix pub next door for a light lunch afterwards, btw. :-)

We are delighted to invite you to this special 'On the Road' event for anyone who uses a car to help run their business.
Do
you use your private car for work, or your 'company car' for domestic
journeys? Are you thinking of buying a new (or new-to-you) car?
Should you buy or lease? And how SAFE do you feel on the roads?
This innovative and practical networking event will be held in Drake and Fletcher's glittering new showrooms in Tunbridge Wells. We will have a speaker from Kent Police
to talk about all aspects of improving our safety on the roads, with a
chance to ask questions. This will cover everything from how to
prepare for trouble, to what to do if an emergency arises, whether it's
a flat tyre, an accident or a serious hold-up. Women are not alone in
feeling occasionally nervous about safety when they are out and about -
so this talk is for all drivers.
Drake and Fletcher are hosting this meeting, and can offer guidance about the tax implications of financing your business car.
Entry
to this event is by name only, so please make sure you have booked in.
But do pass the invitation on to other smallbiz people who you think
may be interested to come along.
There will be special offers available for those attending on the night, and for Millipod members.
And - the chance to book a test drive in the latest Honda models.

Event price: £10.00 Non-Members price: £11.00
We are delighted to have arranged this meeting in the spacious restaurant at C & H Fabrics, in Canterbury High Street - a central location with easy access and parking. This store offers a magnificent and inspiring range of fabrics and services, and is particularly appropriate as a setting for our main presentation.
Our speaker is Andrea Hefford of Snappy Title Design in Rye, E. Sussex, whose work as an architectural and interior designer has attracted awards and big contracts. She is an inspiring speaker and is always worth coming to listen to. She will talk about how she became such a successful designer and built up her business while also being a young mother. She has been a member of Millipod since the early days of the network, and as usual we are pleased to showcase one of our own members, a young and successful designer, whose architectural contracts include hotels, spas, clubs and local and financial companies as well as private clients.
We meet at 6pm in the First Floor Restaurant at C & H Fabrics. Please remember to bring plenty of business cards with you, and be prepared to tell everyone who you are and what services you offer in your business.
Your ticket includes wine and soft drinks, and light snacks, plus plenty of networking. Millipod members have a discount for this evening, of course, and we hope that guests will find the meeting so useful and interesting that they will join our network as fully paid members.
Full details of the evening - parking, access, etc. - will be emailed to everyone who has booked in.
5 July 2006 17:00 - 19:30 Speaker: Late change: Mike Lilford, Property Pathologist! Venue: Gaylords, Pony Cart Lane, Stelling Minnis Post code: CT4 6AU
Event price: £8.00 Non-Members price: £10.00
Millipod will be moving to Stelling Minnis this summer and this is an opportunity to meet Millipod friends and guests in the informal surroundings of our new home.
You can have a free glass of wine or two, or soft drinks and some
nibbles, and wander round the huge long-neglected garden at your
leisure.
If you want to set up a small display for your own business in the house for people to browse around, do please ask for details.
You may like to know that the Rose and Crown pub (just around the
corner) serves delicious meals so you could book in there for a meal
afterwards.
It is advised that you wear clothes and shoes which are suitable for moving round an overgrown garden.
Stelling Minnis is a fascinating old village about 12 miles south of
Canterbury, a turning off the old Roman road known as Stone Street. The
Minnis itself is a long wooded common land, with lovely walks.
Pony Cart Lane is just a track, not a made-up road, so beware potholes and mud if it is wet that day.
