January 25, 2010 Channel 4 News Coverage for Millipod member Henry Dagg
You may like to know - Channel 4 News sent a TV crew down with their Arts Correspondent Nick Glass, to record a lengthy feature about Millipod member Henry Dagg and his astonishing new creation, the Sharpsichord. This beautiful pin-barrel harp was commissioned by the English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDAS) for their headquarters at Cecil Sharp House, Regents Park, London - hence the name.
You can already see it and hear the Sharpsichord on YouTube - just put Henry Dagg into the search box - but the Channel 4 camera crew were quite rightly smitten by the whole project and spent a lot of time interviewing him and recording the instrument in high quality detail.
He has heard the item may be going out tonight (though there is never a guarantee on a news programme of course).
So, do look out for it if you can - and I'm sure Henry would be willing show people round his workshop to see it for real, by arrangement.
